I was printed at 11:15 AM 5-15
I finished and paid my application 4:15 PM. 5-15
I just looked at 12:15 PM. 5-16 and I am approved and given a lic. #
probably, 24 hours start to finish.
BTW, when I hit, submit additional docs. on the app. I tried to submit my FFL, but the MSP was not going to let that happen.

Old thread resurrection!!

I'm obviously a little late to the game here. I already own a couple registered firearms. Just now getting around to the whole HQL thing because I'm looking to purchase/trade a handgun. Hopefully I filled out the application correctly as Training Exempt. I wasn't sure what documents to attach, so I just scanned my Drivers License. Hopefully that's sufficient. Now we wait!

I get an email from Maryland State Police there waiting on my Live-scan fingerprint. I called CJIS said for me to call the vendor to push my live scan thru. I did that on May/17/18. I called CJIS today May/21/18 and told me that the vendor need to push it thru. WTF am I missing here? I did the TS/SCI 10 years background and hold security clearance for my Federal job.

Apparently your Livescan vendor did not send the Scan to CJIS or it failed to be sent properly.

Call the Livescan vendor. It’s their error most likely

I called and they resubmit it for the 3rd time. I have to call CJIS by 3pm today to see if it went thru if not I'm redoing the livescan. Such BS. My friend did his livescan about 35min before I did mine at the same vendor and his went thru with no issue.

Finally got somewhere CJIS rejected it because the vendor sent it to many times with the same TNC/PCN number. The vendor has to change the TNC/PCN to a new number and submit it back to CJIS.

I figured it was a vendor issue. If it was a CJIS thing more people would have been involved

State police confirm that they now received the fingerprinting today May 22.

EDIT: I got my HQL license number as of May 22.

Quick Summery
Submitted application on May 14.
Background check was completed on May 18 (fingerprinting was not received but was submitted on May 14).
Issue with CJIS and fingerprinting (vendor). Got it resolved on May 21 (CJIS and Vendor are blaming each other).
Received HQL number on May 22.
I got my card in the mail on May 25.

Does the Livescan vendor send it to CJIS and NICS or do they send it to MSP and then MSP send it to CJIS and NICS?
