    For a while, I kicked around the idea of getting a .50 cal air rifle. I liked the Sam Yang:

    ...but they are expensive (for an air rifle), aren't much better made than most air guns, and still very loud.

    The Air Force rifles are pretty nice, but still $$$$ and not as quiet as a suppressed .22LR.

    Very cool video. Makes me think twice about air guns. Lots of advantages in today's world too. Powder, nah! Brass, nah! Noise, nah!

    PCP air guns tend to be very noisy unless they have built-in moderators. Even my .177cal Walther is as noisy as a .22LR bolt gun firing std velocity ammo. There's no sonic crack, but plenty of muzzle blast.
