Cause it was the only thing with Taurus written on it that worked. ;)
    Amen on that.

I had a Taurus 66 that "worked," but the holes in the cylinder were drilled straight through with little or no throating. Bullet holes would pepper the targets with no groupings at all. The PT-92 is, as far as I'm concerned, every bit as good as the Beretta -- even better because of the cock-and-lock safety.

The Beretta (Umarex) air pistol is very nice. The "slide release" on the new model air pistols is now nickel plated and not black. On the earlier pistols, I don't know whether it was a part on the gun or a molded part of the slide.

Nice air guns. I'll most likely purchase an inexpensive air pistol & rifle for practicing while I am learning about actual guns.

My modest collection of Webley "Senior" air pistols. The top two are both .177 cal. from the 1920s. Bottom one is a .22 cal. that my Dad brought back from England in 1963. All shoot well and hit hard, but the trigger pulls on them are atrocious LOL

I also have a Gamo Whisper VH2 and enjoy plinking in the back yard with it while not arousing undue attention from neighbors. The only change I made was removing the goofy laser/tactical flashlight for use on one of my other toys.

BTW, has anyone tried the 1500fps Benjamin Nitro which has some sort of similar noise attenuator on it? I would think it noisier than my Gamo as I use the subsonic pointed lead pellets instead of the PBA crap but have never fired nor seen this new Benjamin.

Just got a Gamo Whisper two days ago. It shoots very well. You do need a good backstop with these rifles or you'll end up putting holes in something you didn't intend to
