Rem 760 has a HUGE following in the south and non auto deer states. I never owned one because it doesn't have the caming effect the bolt and even auto gives with reloads or even dirty ammo.

    Huh?

It has the same camming effect as the 740 semi auto.

The bolt featured 14 locking lugs laid out in an interrupted-thread pattern. These lugs locked into corresponding lugs in a barrel extension by means of a cam-rotated bolt.

My submission would either be the glock 17 or the Springfield xdm in .40, that I was ill advised on buying , prior to knowing that .40 is for losers according to Wes/browning guy.

    Paging doctor hair.

I agree. Helped a gay friend pick out parts for an 80% Glock build. He said he didn’t want .40....because it’s ghey.

Yes BUT mechanics are basically the same with slides but you might not get the same force. The gas action supplies plenty of ommph to cycle and turn that bolt.

    UUuh, no.

The gas action RETRACTS the bolt. The SPRING returns it to battery.

There is NO gas action pushing the bolt closed.

A the pump could actually supply MORE force, as the return spring in the semi auto is weak enough to be overcome by one hand.

And should it jam in the closed position you are limited by ones own strength whereas the Remington's are known to have so much oomph it can rip the rim off the shell. I doubt Steve Reeves could have done that.

So you are talking about extraction.

Bolt action rifles do not have huge camming action when opening.
