After spending bow , rifle, and this morning trying to get my son a shot at a deer, I decided to take a walk by myself. I jumped up a doe that stood there looking at me. I shot her and dropped her in her tracks. Of course as soon as I shot her another doe jumped up that was so big I was sure it had to be a buck for a minute. This one isn’t bad though. I have meat for the freezer.

Very nice deer. Somewhat surprised that a doe is still in heat, but I guess it is possible that they did not get to her in October or November.
