    A Face to face M1 Carbine transaction (w/o mag) between Maryland residents is GTG, correct? Exchange driver’s licenses and a bill of sale (and perhaps a statement that the buyer is not prohibited)? Thanks

    It is either legal for face to face sale. Or illegal sell to a state resident.

    M1 Carbine is not banned.

    I have sold many long guns on Md Shooters and always do a bill of sale and look at the Md drivers license. One sale fell thru because buyer would not show drivers license or allow his address on the bill of sale.

    MD when I have to, AK when I can
    It's up to the seller if you want to look at a MD DL or not. I had a guy refuse to sell me a rifle as my DL is from my primary state of residence (I pay property taxes, vote, maintain a residence, etc there) and wasn't impressed with a military ID, MD designated collector letter or a couple bills from marylandistan.

    Seller wasn't comfortable with it, no problem understanding his position on my end. Pretty sad when law abiding folks are more worried about befalling some asinine 'law' than using common sense.
