I reload 44 mag and I have a Dillon 550 - I can reload all of it in about an hour. If you are anywhere close I’d gladly help you out.

For 230-240 grain hard cast in 44 Mag cases I use 5.2-5.5 grains Bullseye or 10.5 grain of Unique for 900 and 1050 fps respectively. With good bullets both are accurate, the Unique load very accurate clear out to 100 meters.

200 grain cast ir swaged lead I used 5.2 grains of Bullseye but stopped using 200 grain bullets. It is a good load as well.

do you have a good recipe for a 200gr and 230gr lead bullet?

200 grain bullet does not shoot as well in a .44 Mag as it does in the .45 Colt. I find I get the best accuracy with 215gn Lyman and 245gn RCBS SWC. I make them myself so I can size them to the lead diameter of whatever the gun likes.

    I never saw a 230 grain bullet for a .44Mag.

With either L215 or R245, if you want light loads, try 7 grains of Bullseye or WST. For medium loads with the 215 I use 11 gns of Unique. For medium loads with the 245, I use 15gns of 2400.

I don't make heavy loads as I don't shoot them too often. I carry Buffalo Bore loads in bear country.

23 grain of H110 over 240 gr SWC. Go big or go home! This shoots great out of both my 6 inch 629 and my marlin 1894. It’s a little rough to shoot out of my 2 inch 629 but it can be done.

Hornady 240 gr JHP and 19.5 gr of 2400 is very accurate out of both Dan Wesson 44VH-4 and VH-8, as well as an old Marlin 1894S.

I took a 265 lb wild boar with this load. One shot from DW VH-4.. Seven feet.

    Medium lite - 9.2gr Unique

Medium Heavy - 4227 @ 90- 95% load density with that particular bullet

My Pistol plinking loads are a Lyman 429215 bullet with 7 grains of WST or Bullseye. My Pistol pig loads are RCBS 245 SWC + 11gns of Unique. My rifle pig loads are (16 in bbl) RCBS 245 SWC or RCBS 250K + 20 gns of 2400 and mag primer.

I use both Hodgdon H110 and Winchester 296 they are both the same powder. I use the powders for .44 Mag. & .357 Mag. badass powder. A very good clean burning ball powder. I back it down a little from the maximum load though.

Powders are relatively available . Primers are either unobtanium , or scalper priced such to make loaded ammo attractive by comparison .
