    google is your friend, I am not.
    I think they will be lucky to get 4-5" at 50yds.

    If they do get 5" at 50 yds, something chambered in a pistol caliber would not be the worst choice. Not for 2,000 tho. And not so long as the BATFE lets you occasionally shoulder your brace.

    ETA: honestly, I want to see this up against a .410 smoothbore and rifled slugs

    I'm no smoothbore expert, but would it be possible to create some sort of fin stabilized sabot to compensate?

    If this is a smoothbore, it might as well be a semi auto musket. Piers Morgan would still disapprove.
