This is a question not a comment, but didn't know where else it should go.

Is there a profanity filter here? I've looked and not found if there is. I ask because I want to turn it off.

Yes there's a profanity filter here. AFAIK unpossible to turn it off by the user. Not much you'd be gaining with it off.

Whenever I've typed the former MD Governor's name, it's automatically converted to "O'Mao."

And the former President's name comes out as, "-0-."
