    Howdy folks,

Saw this bayonet in a second hand store for $35. Used but not rough condition. Any info or pricing? Wondering if it's a good deal.

    Thanks!

I thought it might be at first but I don't think it's Austrian.

The M95 bayonet has an almost completely straight handle and the edge is on the opposite side of the blade. The "sharp" end is "up" when it's fixed on the rifle, like a VZ.24 bayonet.

It looks like it's been heavily buffed/polished

Turkish Mauser bayonet that's been polished. It will also got a Gew88 or any Mauser that doesn't have a 98 bayonet bar.

Possibly, I sold one about four years ago for that much. They're almost all rebuilt over and over and beat up, so the polish might not detract from the value much if at all. The grip scales are in nice shape too.

At one point century was giving them away with rifle purchases.

For $35, if you bought it because you liked it and not as an investment, who cares? I think it looks neat and well worth it for that. Now...finding the rifle to go with it may be another story...:innocent0
