Been biten HARD by the bug. Just mailed my first form 4 in late Oct (can), and already got a form 1 in the mail for a SBR. I've been looking at the 300 BLK for awhile now, and am going to do an SBR build. Here's what I'm looking at so far.....

LOWER: RRA lower that I already have and just form 1'd

UPPER: REALLY like the side charge LAR OPS 4 RH
(http://www.deltacompanyarms.com/products/L.A.R.-Grizzly-OPS%2d4-Upper,-Right-Hand.html) Anyone have a source for an M-16
style FA capable side charge BCG? for when the bug takes me down THAT road?

Barrel: 9"- haven't decided on a mfgr yet but am looking at a Delta Company Arms
    (http://www.deltacompanyarms.com/)

    Handguard:
TYPE: free float rail type - ideas
LENGTH: Here's my sticking point. I want the "integrated look"
where the YHM QD tip is even with the end of the
handguard, so with the can attached it's almost
    integrated suggestions?
Stock: some type of 6 position - ideas?
Sights: some type of BUIS - ideas?
    Optics: LATER - ideas

Good choice for the barrel, Noveske 10" 300Blk with gas-block - $346. Absolute steal for a Noveske Barrel - RussD put me onto this one.

I'm using this for a 300Blk pistol build - which will eventually be an SBR.

If your looking for FA future, I'd keep it simple, standard AR parts are easier to get ahold of.

Rail - Troy, YHM, Daniel Defense - all good choices.

The ONLY issue I have with Noveske is thier statement, "The Noveske 300 AAC BLACKOUT is NOT designed to cycle the action with subsonic ammunition unless a silencer is attached."
Delta Co. Arms states, "..... like all our other .300 BLK uppers, will cycle subsonic or supersonic ammo, with no adjustment to the gas system." Thought I saw somewhere that they were guarenteed to fire all 4 ways, sub and super supressed and unsuoressed. Not sure when I would fire sub w/out a suppressor, but want to get as much out of the barrel /lower as possible.

As for standard AR parts, I would agree, but since I primarily am planning on shooting this suppressed, I am really leaning towards the side charge upper.

Also, That 10" Noveske barrel is only $350 MSRP straight from Noveske, so that's not a HUGE savings.
