most likely limits sear engagement, shortening pull and eliminating that annoying reset knock.

I recognized it because I have installed over a hundred of them.

Glad to help.
Be very careful with the trigger. They are not very reliable and can allow the hammer to drop if not setup perfectly. There is a set screw that installs before the pistol grip screw to control engagement.
