    Anyone heard of this over the past couple of days? Some friends were discussing over dinner a rash of home invasions (5 or 6 in one night) in the Edgewood neighborhood. Apparently occurred in the middle of the night while people were home.

    That's all I heard. Anyone else have info?

    My daughter and her husband live in sykesville up that way. Where's Edgewood?
    What exactly happened after they broke in?

    North side of 26 just west of Johnsville Rd. No idea what happened. Looking for more info myself. Im just wondering if anyone else even heard of this.

    i live in Sykesville and have heard of nothing. Although, I would not doubt someone coming down 26 from Baltimore and doing some of this nonsense. Pretty easy access back to Baltimore,

    The only Edgewood anyone has ever heard of is in Harford County.

    You're talking about Eldersburg, and home invasions are serious business we want to know more about.

    Please tell us more. Was anyone injured? Were these robberies? Rapes? Murders?

    The police in Southern Carroll county usually dispatch two cars for these situations - one to the scene and one to the Liberty Reservoir bridge where these miscreants beat their escape back to Baltimore.

    Nope. It's *in* Eldersburg. It's the name of a community, not a town or city.

    I've been asking around as well. Heard nothing else. Probably a false alarm, which is why I was asking if anyone else had heard anything. My apologies for ringing the alarm for no reason. The people talking about it are friends of my wife. I'll ask her to check on any new developments or clarification.
