There's a Basic 1911 Armorer's course being taught at my gunsmith's shop on the 17th. http://www.hatfieldsgunsmithing.com/Calendar.html On the 6th of April, he's having an Intermediate course. He does good work.

It states $150 for cost of the class on the calendar and $250 under the training section...?

Darned. I only see it listed for this weekend and again in July and I'm out both weekends.

The bad thing is you have to supply your own 1911. I called today and asked. They no longer have 1911s to rent I asked. And I'd HATE to put an idiot mark on someone else's 1911.

A used RIA is a viable learning platform. Typically an armorers course doesn't get overly deep into gunsmithing.
