I've got a new Mossberg 715T (.22) with a 25 round magazine. When I load the mag, it only holds 10-12 rounds. I've seen this problem discussed in several places, but no answers.

    This Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_Btzf7RHa8

describes the problem and a fix, but I don't want to try something I've only seen in one place. Applying super glue to a spring doesn't feel right either, and can't get my red plastic follower down as far as he does in the video.

Does anyone have an idea what causes this problem and how to fix it?

    Thanks.

I got it at the Frederick Gun Show from a Maryland business.

Are shops really setting a maximum magazine load and if its set to 20 why would it take up to 12?

The shops don't set the limit, the manufacturer does. Chances are they set it to ten so it's MA, NJ, NY, and MD legal all at once.
