For those of you who are new to guns, if you haven't read Wayne LaPierre's book, Guns, Crime and Freedom, you should. It will give you a good understanding of why our fore fathers felt the need for including the Right to Bear Arms in our Bill of Rights and how they thought at the time.
It also talks about how politicians have been trying to take away our rights using crime and criminal activities as a reason.
I first read this book when it was first published in the mid nineties, and every few years I reread it to refresh my memory. The only sad thing is, if I were in a room with no windows in the early 1990's and then stepped out into today's world, the arguments would be the same.
Buy it, ready it and read it again. If you own guns, you should own this book.
