    Looking to get a new bolt gun and the 700 VTR catches my eye, especially in stainless. Only real drawback is the barrel shape / not threaded for future supressor use.

    Anybody have any thoughts ??

    Really bad stock and a gimmicky barrel that doesn't really add anything. For a little less you could pick up a SPS Varmint with the same cheap plastic stock...or spend a little more and look for a Remmy 700 PSS with a HS Precision stock that is actually quite decent.
