After reading the reviews and watching the video, I bit! Will post results! Thanks Platoondaddy!

Hopefully you will have the same success my friend had, keep us posted.

In the video, the President of the company is advertising a product and has that shitty piece of 2x4 with two ragged holes for pin press-out. :) :) Thought that was very tacky.

Well... that's what we all would come up with too.... :)

I went ahead and ordered the spring yesterday. $18.00 when all said and done  for a spring but WTH... seems to be a simple and worthy modification.

Installed it this morning. I used my Wheeler non-digital trigger pull scale. Factory was 4-5/8 - 4-3/4. After the spring install it is 3-3/4 - 3-7/8. Definitely lighter and smoother! I give it a thumbs up for such a inexpensive easy install!

Hmm... Seems like cutting a coil or two off the factory spring will give the same result.

There'd be less compression, hence less force on the sear methinks.

    Maybe

I know that in the past, people cut coils off car springs and ended up with a higher ride height.

You would have to put the numbers in a spring calculator.

As you stated, inexpensive easy install for lighter & smoother trigger.

Glad it worked out for you, certainly did for my shooting partner.

    I finally got round tuit...

...installed the McCarbo sear spring. The package only has been staring at me for like over a year now. :sad20:

Seems to be a better trigger release when squeezed. I don't have a trigger pull gauge, but my thought is that it's improved.
