Appalachian trail help/shuttle?

Hey guys.

Looking for a lil help. A ride from one trail head to another. I have a relative walking the entirety of the trail. Id like to join for one segment, but need I ride to the I- 70 parking lot possibly Friday Morning? Depending on his speed.

I estimate friday may 26th. South Mountain State park area.

Double bump for you.

That trail now in many parts is little more than a path, thankfully still with a view.

So many haters taking over this forum recently, I'm surprised you haven't been derailed or insulted already. Good on you, and if your plan is even close to what little time I might be able to schedule around work, I'd be honored to join you.

Sorry I can't help but I hope you have a good hike
I just hiked with my scouts from I 70 to Penmar a few weeks ago, about 20 miles, did it in a weekend.
This past weekend we did the "roller coaster" in VA. Only 14 miles but 8 "hills" of 400' to 700' elevation change.
Weekend of June 10 we are starting at I 70 again and going south to Weverton Cliffs/Harpers Ferry area.
All prep hikes, doing 52 miles in NH the end of June including MT Washington.

Hope you can keep up with your relative, thru hikers that have made it that far are in pretty good condition. They have done over 1000 miles by then.

Tip: you may want to get some hiking poles, those "hills" are rough on the knees and can also help keep you from eating a rock
Also, if you haven't done any prep work you better get on the treadmill.

My wife and I have hiked the trail (tiny bits at a time) and I was wondering exactly the same thing. :confused:

We'd love to do an overnight or longer trip some day.

I've used Mike Gelinas out of Boiling Springs several times. He's on the list linked above in PA.

PS: I thru-hiked the AT in 2011, you will not be able to keep up with your thru-hiking relative even though Maryland is the easiest state on the AT to hike.
