Nice! I got a RR 1943 looking close to what you have. Could not believe the condition of the pistol when received. Glad I took a chance on it.

Q Beam - very nice congrats!! That's the good news. The bad news is my number is 15,443; so I think mine won't come up until next Fall, that's if they still have any.

Well I’m in the 17xxx and waiting. I’m pretty confident I will get a call this year. Seems they “might” have gotten another batch but did not announce it. It has been posted on the CMP forum that they would not disclose if a second batch was received.

I think by definition all of the 1911's released by CMP are arsenal rebuilt/refinished (even the "special" ones like the Rem UMC that was featured in the American Rifleman article). At least they still exist and haven't been destroyed. For the price point and the apparent nice condition, they are a good deal I think. They really don't do anything for me either but if someone offered me a nice one like this for Mawkie pricing(TM), it would be hard to turn down.
For those lucky folks that got one with all correct parts, I salute you :)
