Just a update on the non working Uberti lightning i bought on consignment , I was able to take it apart and found that there was a spring inside that was Missing/ broken. The only piece that remained of the flat spring in the rifle was the end of the spring under the screw that held it in place , the part that was broken off was Not in the rifle so Someone at some point had to have Removed the broken part, Thus as i stated in the message no amount of "aggressive working " of the slide(what i was told the original owner stated to do )would have helped. Had a friend who is a locksmith make me a flat spring and it seems to load and extract now trying dummy rounds. Hoping to finally take it to the range where this time i might actually function. Wish me luck
