I have a M2HB machine gun, and I have a bunch of once fired brass. Currently looking to see if anyone out there is interested in reloading it for me, and what kind of cost I'm looking at. I've priced APIT & API projectiles, powder, etc., but I'm just not ready to delve into getting an entire setup to reload myself.

I would not trust someone else's reloads in your M2HB. All it takes is one bad round. Trading that once-fired brass for something else is probably a better idea.

Define "a bunch." I used to load 50 in the past when Delmarva allowed it, but that was for a bolt gun. The press is single stage and 100s of rounds would take a while with each shell having to make multiple passes through the press. It's worth it being able to make custom stuff though.

As mticafan79 says, the RCBS press is a single stage and it takes a lot of energy for sizing. I would look to selling the brass back to a commercial reloader as it is too much work for a Ma Deuce.

PowPow, I've considered that, but I figured it's worth a shot if I find someone trustworthy & experienced. Otherwise I'll just sell the brass. I have about 1000 rds

Reloading .50 BMG ammo is incredibly expensive

I looked into this a few years ago and found that it would cost me (besides the machine and dies) an incredible amount of money. So much so that I would end up paying approximately $6.00/round for ammo that I could buy for $4.50 a round at some gun shows. FUGEDABOUTIT

I have a .50BMG single stage press NIB gathering dust. If you want to babysit my gear for me for a while, I'd be okay with it. I would like it back down the road.

I used to reload .50 cal. Sold all of my stuff a couple of years ago to a member on this forum.

It cost me $1.25 per round to reload, when I was actively involved with it. I'd reload anywhere from 100-150 rounds in a batch.

As mentioned up thread, it takes a lot of force to resize a .50 shell. You have got to have a very stable and stout platform to bolt the press to. I had a Lee single stage press. Example:

I bought all components in bulk from Pats Reloading. http://patsreloading.com/patsrel3/Items.aspx

I have a chitload of .50 reloads that I need to start depleting one day. ;)
