Fellow patriots. Is it true that I can't use my computer to apply for the HQL unless it has internet explorer on it? I have an eight year old Apple something or other and use Firefox to get on the internet.

    Thanks,

I had no trouble using my Mac. Its just that it works best with IE which it was designed to work with

I don't remember whether I used Firefox or Safari. Firefox should work

My first act of defiance against the HQL requirements was using Google Chrome when I applied for my HQL. It came within 30 days anyway. bob

Thanks guys. I really hate to get the damn thing but it doesn't look like we are going to see a court win for some time. :sad20:

Yeah, that is pretty much where I ended up a few weeks ago. Headed to Alaska this coming summer and wanted more than the Glock 17 80% I was planning to build. Not a lot of 10mm 80% handgun options. Or .356. Or .44 mag.

    Oh well

I used to believe in 44 Mag whenever I went to bear country. Having read some good articles and seen some seriously big bears, I now believe in a .454 Casull. I know there are some bigger revolver calibers but this one can be carried in a reasonable sized gun. ;)

I was not able to enter my instructor's QHIL# when using Firefox. It worked using IE and was able to finish the application. However, five days later I got an email from a MSP officer who said I did not enter the QHIL# and could I send her my HQL training certificate. I found that odd since the online application does not let you move to the next step without entering the QHIL. Anyway, I had a copy of my certificate on my phone which I attached to my reply. I got the HQL approved four days later.

MSP has belatedly discovered the 21st century. At light speed they then raced forward to update their server capabilities to be compatible with browsers in addition to IE. When I applied I was limited to that single one. In conversations with Cpl. Adkins, he confirmed that they have proudly embraced diversity. Seems everybody wants get on the bandwagon.

Any update on a HQL suit filed? I was thinking the other day, where is the line between annoyance and infringement. It would be very interesting if the plaintiffs could play the race card here. Could probably spin a disparity that is not nefarious at all, in to one.

It was the AWB that we “lost” on. I quote it, because it was a semi-temporary kind of loss. SCOUTS refused to hear the case, which let the appeals court en banc decision state that some guns can be scary and if they can cause PTSD in their use, then they can be banned.

No , the HQL suit is going full speed ahead .

The Sept decision started the discovery process . The guesstimates at the time were for discovery to take +/- 6 months , so that would be spring 2018 for the next rounds of dueling Motions & Responses .

I used Safari. Question: How would you know if it didn't work? I would hate to be in "Pending" for 30 days only to find out the browser was wrong!

I seem to remember hearing somewhere that the Internet Exploder only issue was part of the HQL lawsuit so maybe they are trying to moot as much as they can to give the 4th more "ammunition" to uphold the infringement.
