Recent acquisition. The Streamlight will have to suffice until my X300U comes in the mail.

Upon reflection the slide may be a little later but I don't know if there's a definitive line in the sand for when they changed...
it's 1922 and C130000 according to Poyer but that's real close to yours.
    It's still a great trade I think!!

Good to know :party29:, Yeah im not worried I figure the Shoulder holster is worth about 50-100 so really im in the pistol 700ish. Its very nice and even if not all correct im sure its going to be a great pistol to have in the 1911 collection that seems to just keep growing :lol2: if you want any pics of anything i can take them next week when i pick it up out of MSP wait.

During that time period there was a lot of transitioning going on parts-wise. The changes that resulted in the 1911A1 that also were incorporated into the civilian Government Models didn't all become standard until around 1926 or so. Some of the changes were initiated earlier piecemeal before there was the official change in nomenclature.

Noticed that too. Hoping that's natural wear instead of a "distressed jeans" look for the 1911, but either way, it's very good looking.

Yeah. I've seen many worn police issue pistols. This wear looks all over too even. My 2 issued 229s showed the most wear around the front due to drawing and holstering a zillion times.

    It's 100% au naturale.

This was my carry gun for many years. Uniformed Patrol, Plainclothes, SWAT, off-duty, and then later as a civilian EDC. I shot a variety of action pistol matches with it. It was only recently that it was moved to the safe in favor of other carry options. In fact, look closely and you will see the rounded end of the takedown pin is nice and polished! That's because it's my index point for my trigger finger.
