With supersonic rounds, yeah. With sub-sonic you have essentially a .45 cal that is pretty darn quiet with a can. Certainly hearing safe indoors (although you then have over penetration issues with sub-sonic rounds).

advantage for the 300 blk is that you can drop the mag, swap to high velocity rounds if needed. can be used for hunting. its just more versatile.

it is hard to beat the value of a high point carbine though, and if you end up having to use it and the police take it into evidence then you won't cry over it.
