If you have been thinking about a Garand - get one through CMP now. One day they will be all gone. Heck - OldCarJunkie - what did you pay for that IHC? The service grades were like $1050 last year and now they seem to be out. Glad I got one.

The better ones are getting thin. Sure CMP holds back some, as to have something. Love the advanced class j8064 took. Great looking results.

I would love another. Said everyone.

The Winchester girls. Woodless rack grade from CMP. Refinished by Shuff's. Stocks from dupage, completely humped with fake stamps. They are showgirls....

5.7 mil SA correct grade. 401k gun.....

pistol is a rock island. I picked up a reminton rand slide from ebay, had trickshot fit a new barrel and make a ww2 slide to make an as issued competition gun.

Great looking collection. Being honest with what you have is key. Who would not want a gun that looks just like it did coming right out of crate from the Ordinance Dept?

Both of the woodless were rough. End of life replacement barrels. The blond had a WW2 barrel (SA) so I left that. The red one got one of the NIW '52 replacement barrels the cmp got from Greece. Both got WW2 triggerguards and SA lockbars. They are all about the looks.

I had mine checked out at Hanover Shooting supply. Mike gave it a clean bill of health. Rear sight was loose. Tightened it up for me. I'm probably gonna get a new CMP stock for it. Although HSS is not in IP, great little shop. Plenty of milsurp and cowboy guns.

Yup. Bought 3 of these from them, includin the Garand.

.308 so’s I can feed ‘er off the shelf. :D

Here is mine. I love this thing. Smoothest shooting rifle I own. It's in the 6 million range on the serial numbers so from what I gather it's from somewhere between 1955-1957. Haven't really looked too deep into it. I wanted one I could shoot the crap out of and not destroy any historic value.

NM I picked up from HSS. I corrected a couple of issues and this is the result. First shot from clean bore @ 12:00. The next three are centered and all touching in the green dot. Who says Garands are not accurate!
