What are you gonna be using this for? Walking around shooting vermin? Or putting holes in paper? Both? I like the one I posted mainly for the barrel and the extra swivel for a bipod. It's a lot like the one I already have.

There are some that think the CZ (even the lighter barrel) can do both. Still thinking it over.

I have one too.
Pop a BSA Sweet 17 on top and you have a very nice little shooter.
Smooth and accurate.
That Sweet 17 is a great value. It's what I use.

I am thinking either a CZ 455 Varmint or a 457 Varmint. Should I prefer one over the other? I like that I can swap out the barrels on a CZ rimfire rifle.
I looked on CZ's website to check out the 457. I'm not liking the .17hmr offering in this first year. I think the improvements will make it BA. I think Savage is covering a lot of stock and barrel options.

Yep, I had the Savage 93R17BTVS thumbhole as in my previous post. I also liked the 2 forward swivel posts ( 1 for bi-pod, 1 for sling ). Also came with scope mounts already attached.

Picked up my CZ 457 Varmint from JLowes this week. Have it topped off with a Leupold VX-3i 3.5x10x40mm. It's HEAVY, but the stock is gorgeous. Range pics to be posted when available.
