Gun bans don't disarm criminals, gun bans attract them. – Walter Mondale

A strong body makes a strong mind. As to the species of exercise I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Let your gun, therefore, be the constant companion of your walks. – Thomas Jefferson

This made my news feed today

Quote:
According to a news release from the Carroll County State’s Attorney’s Office, Pope stole items from Walmart at 6400 Ridge Road, but was then abandoned by another individual when a store employee confronted him about the theft.

Now stranded, he approached two individuals in the 1800 block of Fallstaff Court and forcibly took possession of a teenage girl’s Honda Pilot.

Seems like the walk out shoplifters plans fall apart once they get to the parking lot. Almost like they didnt think that far ahead.

We live in northern Cecil but my wife refuses to go there or the one in North East (real nasty people in parking lot at that one). We go across the line to Oxford

Under Maryland's convoluted logic, I foresee Walmart being responsible for the death. Here's how:
  1. Goods were being shoplifted from Walmart.
  2. Driver runs over shoplifting suspect, putting an end to the theft.
  3. Running someone over to apprehend a suspected shoplifter is the use of excessive force.
  4. Walmart's goods were saved by the apprehension.
  5. Driver served as a loss-control agent for Walmart at the time she used excessive in ending the shoplifting.
  6. Walmart is responsible for it's agent's use of excessive force.
  7. Walmart pays dead shoplifter's estate for wrongful death.

This is Maryland logic, and how a victim of a crime can be victimized again!

Wrong Walmart shoplifters. These were in Elkton, Cecil County, MD.

They are all idiots.

This. And during daylight my head is on a swivel.

Yeah, this was my first thought too. If the crime was in MD, then the criminal is the victim and the victim is going to be sued for the criminals' actions.
