    Ok...need help 80% lower

I think I am doing this right...instead of starting a new thread I am continuing an older one.

I am working on an 80% lower. Pretty interesting stuff. I am making quite the mess with a borrowed drill press. So far what I have is pretty crude looking...but I am learning stuff.

My question is drilling holes. I read somewhere you cannot drill a precision hole. You need to drill a smaller hold a ream it.

I am about to drill the safety hole...It is a 3/8" hole.

Should I drill with a smaller size and ream the hole? What should the small size be?

    or

Are people just drilling 3/8" hole with no reaming?

    thanks

The safety hole is not as critical as the fire control (hammer & trigger) pins. Those I underdrill until my pins just fit. Go ahead with the 3/8 and it'll work fine...
