MD Handgun Mag Law clarity

Help me understand this...because itís super confusing to me...maybe Iím overthinking it...so bare with me.

In MD are only 10 rd mags legal? How are folks getting and using 12,15, 17 round mags on their handguns??

I canít purchase a gun that comes with those size mags, so what am I missing or misunderstanding. I appreciate any guidance on this.

Purchase, transfer, manufacture, etc....everything except posession is prohibited. Buy the mags out of state and bring them home (and to the range...wherever) is pefectly legal...for now. You can purchase the gun (if it's on the roster), but just cannot accept the mags that come with it. Take a trip to any of the neighboring states in America and buy your mags.

So I can order the larger mags online And still be clear, right?

This might be the dumbest of all laws.

Not quite. You can't have them delivered to you here. People order them online and have them shipped to an out of MD location. There is some debate about where that transaction actually takes place, but (as far as I know) no one has been locked up for it.

You can (and I would think all of us do) physically get yourself and your wallet into PA, VA, WV, or DE to buy your mags and bring them into the state in your posession.

MD Handgun Mag Law clarity

Or, go on vacation out of state. While there, order them on line and have them delivered to your out of state beach house. Then return home with them. Transaction done completely out of state.

The first rule of standard capacity mag club is: don't talk about standard capacity mag club.

Because it is inevitable that the MD GA will come back around to fix this "loophole" in their long game of maximum infringement. Knowing how those clowns think, they will go for a ban without grandfathering, and instantly felonize lots of MD citizens. And then off to court it will go, also inevitably all the way to the SCOTUS. Which is why even though we have no chance of creating a non-lefty legislature in this state, and have seen our last even vaguely fair-weather conservative governor, the person in the White House and control of the senate is absolutely vital when multiple SCOTUS seats will shortly be rotated.

Support MSI in pursuit of the litigation on this we all know is coming, but support toss-up senate races in other states to keep Schumer from running the SCOTUS approval show. And do anything possible to keep Biden's puppeteers from gaining the White House. Otherwise, it will get a lot worse in MD than just being told to surrender your standard capacity mags.

I will not be crass and tell you go get your shinebox, but instead will suggest you go to the Introductions thread, and post up about yourself, so we can know you better.
