Group buy discussion of integrally suppressed 9mm barrels/uppers.

This thread will be to discuss options on a GB regarding integrally suppressed 9mm barrels and uppers.

Speaking with Innovative Arms the other day. Phillip mentioned using a 5.5" barrel with the integral suppressor attached it would be about 11" overall.

I have no idea of pricing yet.

Please post what you are interested in and what configuration.

I for one, know that a barrel in the 7.5" area is likely as long as I'd like - can an integrally suppressed 9mm barrel be that short? I don't know much about them to be honest. Is there a barrel portion and a suppressor portion? User serviceability is not a big deal, but definitely a factor.

Perhaps we should move this to a dedicated thread?

What I said in the previous thread. So an 11" total barrel + suppressor is probably as far as I'd like to stretch the length and I'd prefer a barrel alone over an upper package.

This is not turning into a group buy. Innovative Arms does not want to sell just the suppressed barrel. They will only sell the built upper. We would have to supply all parts except the barrel and suppressor. Their price to build the suppressed upper is $799. If you are interested we can ship your parts or order parts. If we get five people we should be able to offer a little better price.

I don't think have enough moolah to play around with a full upper build. I would need specs on the exact length and outer diameter of the suppressed barrel, among other things.

I have some basic info at the shop but off today. They want to make sure everything works before shipping.
