And these FFL's should be told that we will not purchase a gun from them if they force us to buy the lock, when we already have a MD approved lock.Still up to the dealer .. thier store .. their FFL

Does the law state that the lock has to be caliber specific? I didn't think it did when I looked it over.
Good idea. It's too bad some dealer's (including a few site IP's) require you to buy a new lock from them for each transfer, whether you already have an approved lock in the appropriate caliber or not. They must need that extra $10-20 they make off that lock. Are we really pretending that people use these things and need one for each gun they own? I don't think I've ever taken any of mine out of the package.

The whole lock thing is silly. We encourage people to bring their own lock, but the law is the law and they have to have one. We would be glad to be a repository for used locks. People could come get them or we could send them, or maybe someone has another idea.
Damn freestate gets better and better. I got one came on a .38 but its a trigger lock u can borrow just shoot me a pm. U can pick it up at my house or ill ship.
Let's post up who they are and avoid doing business with them. Get the word out.
