I'm in the processing of waiting for my Utah CCW. non-resident CCWs are like Boy Scout badges for Maryland residents. The more the better? Should I get NH too?

Had a bunch before but now down the WV and ME permits. Not a whole lot left to gain absent a "special need distinguishable from the public at large"

I'm so envious of many that have MD CCW! I'm going to cry over by my beer.:envy: I don't even want to try MD CCW process. What's the success rate? An employee at Cabela in Delaware told me that MD residents need to try harder in the election to elect Republicans. I told them we tried but he said we don't try hard enough! Hard enough???? What the hell? I voted Republican/Libertarian every time I got a chance. I am out numbered.

I had 2, FL and NH. I have since given up the Florida permit. No need for it any longer.

I had a ME, but let it expire since I never go there anymore and no state reciprocates ME that doesn't already do UT.

I really need to get off my ass and apply for NH so I can carry in PA, where I do most of my shopping.

    Stoveman Wins !

But seriously , you need at least two, for at least two reasons :

    1. General redundancy, preferably with staggered expiration dates. If you accidently forget to renew, or the renewal process is backed up ( looking at you UT , and tripple for Va ) , the other will at least partly cover you in the interm . On the same theme , certain states habitually engage in urination contests, and drop/ re-add/ re-drop/ re-add each other. Having redundency doubles ( or more) your chances .

    2. Generally speaking, it is a good thing to be covered for your neighboring states . There is no single permit that covers all our neighboring states .

    To specifics :

NH gives Pa , easy and quick to get, and is actually fairly decent coverage in Eastern US .

UT gives DE . Also excellent nationwide coverage . The required class is readily available, often as a partial or complete one stop package . Initial fee is medium, and renewals cheap . This pretty much evens the botton line with other Permits not requiring specific class, but more expensive.

If for whatever reason you don't like UT, or don't care about going to DE , then Fla, Va , and AZ are simple, wide nationwide coverage.
