Looking forward to seeing you there Not An Outlaw!

Let’s keep this Liberty train rolling to SCOTUS, or Virginia might have to secede again.

Patriot Picket member (and new friend of many 2A activists here) Dick Heller is joining us at this rally.

Dick assumed the 2010 McDonald decision, incorporating the individual right to keep and bear arms (confirmed in Dick’s own historic 2008 SCOTUS victory) would finally settle the RKBA issue.

    It didn’t.

Yet Dick has never given up: there’s no quit in Dick Heller.

We ain’t quitting either; this fight’s not over.

Dick Heller and the Supreme Court are forever linked in American Constitutional history.

Now’s your chance to become part of this next chapter in Second Amendment history.

Join Dick Heller, Patriot Picket and MDS activists at the Supreme Court this Monday, December 2, from 8 - 11 AM.

About how long does it take to walk from Union Station to the Court? Looks like a marc train arrives there at 7:24. With possible rain, I wonder if that's easier than driving to Greenbelt and taking the Metro down. And even if I still do Metro, I still arrive at Union Station.

Eh, just looked at the return times to Aberdeen/Edgewood, and there's not a lot of options. Metro it is!

Walk time is about 7 minutes from Capitol South (Orange, Blue and Silver Lines), or about 10 minutes from Union Station (Red Line).

From the Greenbelt Station (Green Line) you will transfer to the Red Line at the Fort Totten station.

Look for the Capitol dome symbol on the Metro System Map below; Union Station is above the dome symbol right before the Red Line turns 90 degrees west; Capitol South is immediately below the dome symbol on the Orange/Blue/Silver Line:

    Thank you FGT1958!

I never knew these very convenient (and cheap) commuter bus services existed.

The CoachUSA 250 Commuter Bus from the Eastern Shore to DC is an AMAZING VALUE.

You can pay in cash right on the bus if you have the exact fare amount.

It’s even cheaper to ride if you’re a senior citizen (65+) with a photo ID with your DOB on it: only $10 for the round trip from the Kent Island Park & Ride or Stevensville Park & Ride lots (free parking!), plus no Bay Bridge toll to pay coming home!

Only $8 round trip for seniors from the Davidsonville Park & Ride lot.

The CoachUSA 250 Commuter stops to let off riders at the SE corner of the Supreme Court.

Walk one block to the Rally!

Convenient westbound schedule (shown); commuter stops shown on DC map at very bottom.

Supreme Court is the first stop, lower right on the map:

Return trip is just as easy.

    https://web.coachusa.com/CoachUsaAssets/files/115/250Sep2019.pdf

Convenient mid-afternoon pick-up times in DC for the return commuter trip allows time after the Second Amendment Rally to enjoy lunch and tour the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, the Capitol, or head over to the Air & Space Museum or National Gallery of Art.

Commuter pick-up stop for the eastbound return trip is at the last-listed LIBRARY OF CONGRESS stop (Independence Avenue and 1st Street, SE) because the outbound 250 bus departs DC on Independence Avenue, and DOESN’T travel past the inbound Supreme Court stop. (Only one block difference.)

Or you can jump back on the 250 bus at any of the commuter stops shown on the DC map posted above; there’s a stop right outside the Air & Space Museum.

You should see just how much traffic is on the bridge and that goes past that park n ride on Kent Island at when I used to drive that commuter route. I would get to work at 2:30am leave work by 2:45am and arrive around 3:45 to 4am. I always took traffic into account when I had that run early in the morning. More then once the west bound bridge was closed to construction and it was one lane only on the east bound span. A TON of traffic is going by that part n ride at exit 41 on kent island heading to downtown dc or to one of the park n ride lots. Going back the other way in the afternoon was an adventure as well. We could travel on the side roads along Rt 50 when it was backed up but the police would not commuter traffic use the side roads and forced them onto Rt 50.

Thank you HaveBlue! Dick Heller told me he’d swing by to look at the SCOTUS spectator line sometime today, but no word yet.

    Note to Kenpo333!

You Tidewater Boys from the Eastern Shore have to leave your punt guns at home tomorrow:

Ok a couple of you are wondering what in the world did I mean by the times i posted here. I would arrive at the terminal where the coach was located and then drive to the first stop on Kent Island and wait until it was time to leave from Kent Island at 4:45am. I would always arrive early at Kent Island because I never knew what traffic at that hour would be like on Rt 100 to I97 south to Rt 50 going east crossing the bay bridge if they would be doing maintenance on it or any type of construction at that hour of the morning. Sorry If I confused you about the times.. MCDoug
