.50 Caliber is for Wussies, This is a Man's Gun

Because they don't make a .96 Caliber, here is the .950 JDJ

Quote:
The .950 JDJ has become something of an internet legend, and is frequently cited as an example of a "ridiculously large" cartridge, thanks to its overwhelming ballistic figures. The cartridge drives its aforementioned 3,600 gr (230 g) bullet at approximately 2,200 ft/s (670 m/s). This yields a muzzle energy of 38,685 ft·lbf (52,450 J).

I can see it now, the Anti's claim that a .50 is for shooting down airplanes. Well this big ole SOB is for shooting down the Space Shuttle.

24.13mm, bigger than an Oerlikon AA gun. Wow. Talk about wretched excess.

Not made anymore, unless you can find a reciever capable of chambering a 20mm vulcan round, as that is what this is based off of.

Interesting fact: Its not a DD.

Slimjim, why isn't a DD? Quirk of the wording of the law?

You think a 20mm recoil-less rifle could be modified to chamber this? It'd be one helluva sniper round.
