Does anyone know what happened to Brock's Guns in Bishop, GA? They always had a lot of C&R-eligible guns - a bit price some, but a few good deals could be found. Their website went kaput a couple of weeks back with no explanation.

I wonder where their stock went if they closed down as there were a couple of pieces that I was waiting to see if he dropped the price on, as he did on occasion.

    Did you try calling?
I have a vendor run by a 70 year old guy and stopped paying the web guy and his registration expired. Ifs a sole source vendor so we called him to make sure he was still in business.

Great shop, i got a good amount of East German 8mm from them really cheap. I remember seeing a post on their website about the owner having health problems, not sure what happened though.

Was able to call them - they liquidated the inventory. Lady answered, I didn't want to ask why. I'm guessing the old man running the shop died. Too bad - he had still some nice inventory. A few years ago I bought a 1944 PPK from him, decent price and great shape. He had a Colt Mod. 1928 that was like 4 spots off from the serial number on mine that I had been eyeing, hoping for another price drop. Someone must have picked it up at auction...

Sorry to hear this. I bought an Argentine rifle from him a few months back that wasn't quite as it was advertised. I'd talked on the phone with him a couple of times, and didn't think it was intentional misrepresentation, so I let it slide. I think that he wasn't on the top of his game at that point, and may have overlooked something that he would have noticed earlier in his career. He was very pleasant to me, and seemed genuine.
