I bought a parts kit through a group buy here many moons ago. I just got a Nodak receiver and am looking to get it built by someone.
I'm just looking for advice on screw/weld builds.
Also looking to see who has had rifles built here and by whom, reviews, cost, etc.
    Thanks.

I've seen corsica coating's weld builds, and midcounty gunshop's rivet builds, both looked nice. CC will do rivet builds too, but i've never seen an example.

    Vince,
I have one screw build and one weld build from Corsica.
I have two rivet builds from Midcounty Gunshop.

Feel free to come by the house and check them out-you know the way here ;)

I won't comment on price as they may have changed since mine were built.

I had my Romy G kit built by Jim Fuller of Rifle Dynamics in Las Vegas. It took about a year to get back, but what you get back is one of the finest AK builds in the world. I highly recommend him.

Jim is AWESOME-but pricey. I got some quotes from RD before turning to the local guys.

That Romy was built for me by Midcountygunshop and I am very pleased with it, I have shot it only a few times since then and I was able to easily hit man size silhouettes easily from the standing position at 100 yrds without touching the sights except for the yardage and my magazines all fit in it very well and the overall fit and finish is excellent. Shortly after him building this one I got rid of my wasr.

I just did an AK-74 weld build on a Nodak. It came out great... no muss, no fuss. Went together quickly.

Weld builds are easy to do.
