Thanks for posting! Just picked up a gun I didn't know I needed.

Also, after ~20 years of collecting, this is my first purchase online having a gun shipped to an FFL (I know, I feel shame :o). Is there anything I need to do proactively, like contact the FFL?

Your FFL will contact you if you provided a phone number during the purchase. If you didn’t, I’d contact them. All FFLs I've dealt with have customers that proactively contact and ones that don’t- the FFLs don’t seem to care.

I always contact the FFL ahead of the arrival.

If it is a home based FFL always contact them before you buy. They may be out of the biz, or on vacation for 2 weeks.....

I always ask the FFL before even ordering. Generally just to make sure the FFL isn’t already stocking the firearm.

Got mine over the weekend. Can't wait to shoot it! It's pretty clean for a $200 gun (that ended up costing me about $500, after I bought a bunch of other stuff while getting it transferred :o)
