The stand your ground law's main benefit is to protect the citizen from over-zealous prosecution from the DA's office. Of course Holder wants it gone; he's the Atourney General. Makes his job easier and lets jerk prosecutors advance their political careers.

I actually heard one of the FL prosecutors say that SYG was bad law because it makes things tougher for prosecutors. Well, duh . . .

Here come the bills to make sure this tragic incident never happens again: congressional black caucus-readies-racial-profiling-bill-in-response-to-fla-verdict

The lawmakers are drafting proposals intended to rein in racial profiling; scrap state stand-your-ground laws; and promote better training for the nation’s neighborhood watch volunteers, among other anti-violence measures.
CBC members had remained largely silent throughout the trial, but following the verdict, argued forcefully that, decades after the civil rights movement, the nation’s criminal justice system still discriminates against blacks and other minorities.

No word yet if this will help prevent young black men from attacking people and threatening to kill them. :sad20:

The Obama economy has hurt blacks in a disproportionately high number. Check the unemployment rates. Obama and his crew do not care about helping blacks, only themselves and their cronies.

Unfortunatly that is true of all our politicians, not just Democrats. They aren't public servents, they are rapers and pillagers, just in a softer and gentiler way.
