I doubt this will get picked up and aired by the national NPR broadcasting so I thought I would share. It brings up some good talking points of being prepared for self defense as individuals and as a group, not making yourself a target to attack by not being prepared to defend yourself, historical racism of gun control etc...
I think an important footnote to talking points on the article would be that police don't protect you in the modern day due to the logistical improbability of that happening and not due to being aligned with hate groups.
