    very nice

so many folks knock hunting and shooting, but what a great family opportunity, especially vs leaving kids sitting in front of tv/video games.

    Hi MW,

I'm guessing 12 would be the minimum age (based on the IDPA website).

This was in Anne Arundel Fish and Game.

You might want to start your son at Delta's Steel Shoots, we got some kids younger than my son in the last shoot.

That’s awesome! My son is hooked on shooting steel too, but not at that level

Oh, and thanks for the obligatory MDS foot picture at 28 seconds :)

How old do you have to be for that?

There is no minimum age for IDPA matches at AAFG. A shooter must be physically able to handle a firearm safely, and mature enough to follow the match director's and safety officer's instructions to the letter.

If you think your child might be interested in shooting an IDPA match at AAFG, we strongly encourage you to bring your child to a match as an observer. All you need are eye and hearing protection. Having observed the match, you can have an informed discussion about match procedures and safety rules.
