Maryland is one of the states leading the way with not reporting disqualifying offenses to nics. Hard to sue when their house is so out of order....

my thoughts too. Opening up a can of their own worms prior to an election is never a prudent move.

Can you provide a cite for this? Would make great fodder for 2018 legislative session.

I don't know if we want to encourage them. The response may be to make things even harder on the decent people, as usual.

As an aside, I think what we need to do during the 2018 session is harp on MS-13, and the number of Marylanders including juveniles who have been murdered by them. And how the state's chief law enforcement officer (Frosh) has done nothing about it while busy pursuing his own personal social agenda and suing Trump.

San Francisco can bite me. Where was their concern for unauthorized gun ownership when they harbored the repeat criminal who murdered Kate Steinly?

If they win this I think it would be great precedent to use to sue the ATF over the fact the NFTR is messed up and force them to fix it

Maryland refuses to share any mental health records for one. It's not a big secret.

Maryland has no interest in preventing prohibited persons from purchasing.

Their goal is to discourage law abiding citizens from purchasing. In another generation or two there will be so few gun owners they will then be able to ban whatever they want.
