    Added SB 882, 884

looks like the dems are going on a full-on assault of our 2a this session. They see 2020 favorably for them and are making a once in a generation push to fundamentally change our 2a. We need to bring an unprecedented push back to them or it's going to mean a lot of us that value the 2a will just have to accept life as lawbreakers. When our legislators crafting the law have zero regard for our constitution, why should we have any regard for the infringements they try to burden us with?

Well written. This is our war. Right now. They are taking no prisoners. We need to let them know we are not backing down and will not comply.

Sheesh. Any media coverage of this assault? Seems like a natural for the Baltimore Sun on the Parkland shooting anniversary.

Wonder if we have the same all-hands-on-deck effort to combat the opioid crisis in Maryland. At least in Frederick county, I think overdose deaths are 20-30 times higher than gun related deaths.

looks like the dems are going on a full-on assault of our 2a this session. They see 2020 favorably for them and are making a once in a generation push to fundamentally destroy our 2a. We need to bring an unprecedented push back to them or it's going to mean a lot of us that value the 2a will just have to accept life as lawbreakers. When our legislators crafting the law have zero regard for our constitution, why should we have any regard for the infringements they try to burden us with?

    Edited for accuracy.

I've searched for a thread on HB 96, but other than a few comments about it, thought I'd post here. Perhaps worthy of it's own thread?

    http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmMain.aspx?pid=billpage&tab=subject3&id=hb0096&stab=01&ys=2019RS

From the MSI email I received last night. They've outdone themselves with this one:

"Another bill, HB 96, would ban temporary "loans" of a handgun to another person, including a spouse or another person in the family in the home. Every such "transfer" would have to go through the State Police using the 77R process and would include the 7-day waiting period. This bill would mean that a person could not leave their handgun accessible to any other person in the home. Each spouse would have to have separate ownership and each would have to have their own gun safe that is inaccessible to anyone else."

No exception if either you or your wife leave the house, and the other has the combo to the safe. If the other person has access, it's as good as having actually "transferred" the gun to them Google "constructive possession."

As was pointed out in testimony last Thursday by Mark Pennak, if this goes through and you do actually complete the transfer, it is their gun -- no obligation to return your property to you!

Crazy. So in order to defend herself when I’m not there, Mrs. Teratos has to get a HQL and get a “Hers” HD gun?

And a lockbox/safe so YOU (or anyone else) doesn’t have access to it.
