Join Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley for a Summit on Gun Violence featuring a panel of experts from a broad range of backgrounds.
    About this Event

Mayor Buckley’s Summit on the anniversary of the Capital Gazette tragedy is an opportunity for participants to discuss a solution-oriented approach to ending gun violence.

At this invitation-only event on the campus of historic St. John's College, attendees will hear from experts in the field, including academics, policymakers, NGOs, business and social leaders on the topic of gun violence, prevention strategies, law enforcement, community impact, and policy implications.

The event will promote an interdisciplinary dialogue about topics related to gun violence in its broadest context, including causes, consequences, control, impact and prevention. The Summit mirrors the interests of Mayor Buckley and the City’s partners in fostering conversation about pressing policy concerns.

The event is co-sponsored by Everytown for Gun Safety, Mayor’s Office of the City of Annapolis, and St. John’s College.

Somehow I think that the law enforcement discussion will be very limited and probably only related to enforcing whatever NEW laws they think that they need to come up with to reduce gun violence. Can't have them saying that they will actually prosecute and jail people who commit gun (or any other kind of) violence.

The Safe Cities agenda was handed out at the AACo Gun Prevention Committee meeting.

Yep. Once again, there is nothing in the agenda about prosecuting and punishing the people partaking in "gun violence."

It seems once again we go to our "Panel of Experts" who have been able to NOTHING about violence so far in their Expert careers. Just what credentials prove their Expertise?
