Forgot to mention. UP used to be part of Wisconsin! Early 1800's I think, Ohio was crying because they didn't have a port (MI and OH actually raised militia and took potshots at each other over this land), so the feds gave them a 4 mile stretch of land that included the port of Toledo.....
To appease Michigan, they took the UP land from Wisconsin and gave it to Michigan!!!
Ahhh, it's always the Feds! I think the vestiges of this history are buried/were lost in my childhood memories (so thanks for posting), which may be why I'm conditioned to looking at the UP and thinking it should be Wisconsin territory!

Man. Just checked out the silver receivers.

My wife got me a brass .44 and I like it a lot...but now they have silver and some color case hardened and I like those better.

They do. I have a case hardened Uberti/Taylor 1873. One handsome rifle. The all weather from Henry caught my eye last night, even if I have to pony up a few bucks for it.

Congrats! My vote...a case-hardened .357 Henry as a classic yooper rifle for small and medium game, and a Ruger tree-oh-ate for all else, eh?
