I've been meaning to 'thin the herd' in regards to brass and primers for some time now, so running a few batches of varying brass/primers was meant to show me if I could just focus on stocking 1 set of brass/primer.

As it seems, the rifle genuinely doesn't care, there may be subtle differences to POA/POI - but it still prints identically (when I do my job). So I guess I did something right when I put it together...

Stayed with the .260, went select match, heaviest profile offered by Shilen. Grabbed a better bolt head while I had it apart too.

Figure a 2 year hiatus from the forum was enough.

I stepped away for a bit and you were one of the OG names I was use to seeing put out sone great stuff. Ive dove into the bolt action stuff hard these last few years and plan to build something simple yet unique this year and 260 is on the block as a choice. Definetly will be following this.

    Welcome back.
Please educate me on the "better" bolt head. What makes it better? And where did you pick it up at? Also, why 260 Rem and not 260 Ackley?
    Thanks
