I see there are some kits out there

Is it as easy as drilling holes through the baffles once you get your stamp?

I just dont want to get approved and realize I am too inept at machinery to do it. I have a drill press but I know nothing about machining.

Also, are these kits usually quiet? I want something quiet. I already have a factory K can.

    Durable for rifle use?

It is easy to do, if you buy a kit. Where things really get interesting is when you start getting the individual parts on your own and you actually design your own baffle stack, and what mounting system you want to use.

The kits are usually quiet enough, not factory can quiet, but close enough.

If you run a SS or Ti tube, you will be able to run rifle rounds though them without a problem. Aluminum tubes are generally used on rimfire platforms.

When my Form 1 came back approved, I used a drill press and a drill bit to drill the holes out, to create the baffles. Took me about 15 minutes to do all the baffles and the end cap.
