I found limited to be a fun division, you'll like it. This year I'm going to shoot SS all year, mainly because I built a new gun late last year and want to shoot it. It's basically like shooting a limited gun with more reloads.

Don't really want to get this thread too bogged down in the "why" of things, but basically if you are going to nail sub 1 second reloads with any consistency you are going to have to look the mag into the magwell.

Here are some champion shooters demoing their reloads, and they all mention looking the mag in.

Michael if you feel like chiming in on this please feel free since I don't really know how better to explain this...

I agree, when I practice, the reloads I miss are the ones I don't look at the magwell. The place I get sloppy first is visual. For several reps I'll be blazing and then I'll stop looking (not intentionally) I'll still blaze for a few reps but the wheels will fall off. Then I have to remind myself to look where I want the mag to go, and suddenly it starts going in smoothly again.

I'm finding Single Stack has little room for error on reloads, but it I do it right it's no slower than loading my limited gun.

True story: forgot to bring my progrip for my dry fire practice while on the road for work and have improvised by crushing up a Tums and rubbing the powder on my hands. Sort of works! plus now my gun smells like grape candy.

Stuck on the road for work this week in a state that doesn't allow me to bring my gun so no dry fire this week. However, this doesnt mean I can slack on my training. I'm researching techniques, drills and exercises to improve my stage movement speed and efficiency. Cross training with other sports that require explosive and controlled movement is a good idea I'm finding. Here is a video that looks to combine some crossfit and football type drills in a shooting context.
    Good stuff.

highlights from todays live fire practice.
    Gun: CZ TSO .40
    HOlster: RHT
Not feeling it today and struggled to get in the groove, however I find that in the long run sometimes I see better improvement after pushing through a tough session.
Camera is blurry as hell and then died on me so the last part of the day I switched to my cell phone. Ordered a tripod mount for my phone so I can just use that for 3rd person video from now on.
