I have a range I can walk to on a neighbors property, their neighbors hunt a full 200 yds away and got pissed I was shooting (actually while deer are grazing nearby watching me) so we coordinated days, have a meeting every year, call out DNR just to talk and alleviate their concerns during the actual season. Easy Peasy, one has to love a friendly neighborhood.

Many fail to see the movement to remove firearms from citizens and if they were to get this thread posted to a newspaper you could bet they would try to make more laws seeing the aggressive nature of gun owners over a simple trespass incident. That is all this is, a trespass, don't push it to the next level in such a fashion. Or go ahead, poke the Bloomberg/Soros hornets nest.

You are right of course. That is the prudent and reasonable way to look at the situation, and caution is called for in the current political and social environment. And this person sounds like just like the type to try to elevate this issue with GutPile, and publicize it to gain support for her position (see GutPile’s post #30 and the reference to https://www.marketwatch.com/story/wh...you-2016-06-14 ).

The mention of Bloomberg/Soros does point to the kind of concerns we need to be aware of, focus on, and prepare for. But the situation certainly is a bit irritating, albeit part of the new realities these days. At the risk of overreaching, doesn’t it feel a little like we are having to curb our speech, that otherwise would be well protected by the First Amendment, in the cause of not losing rights granted by the Second Amendment? But I agree, we have to be about strategy and tactics now, not feelings. And support the NRA.

I apologize for the topic creep.

[QUOTE=Samlab;5675192 Move your stand, tell them no problem at all you were unaware and you love horses.[/QUOTE]

Thats the dumbest answer so far.Letting someone dictate what I can and cannot LEGALLY do on my own property???? Not a chance.

Give them an inch.......

I confess that I have not read this entire thread. Too long for me. My advice would be to simply ignore the email and continue doing what you have always done. No need to acknowledge his correspondence.

I doubt it. 'Imma gonna sue yo azz' is 99% of the time an empty threat.

I hope it goes well. If you actually see the neighbor, my suggestion is to go say hello with a smile.

You sound like someone who I would like to have as a neighbor. Many of the posters on this thread, I just hope I never have to deal with... We all feel that quick anger when someone acts like your neighbor did... Grownups and good neighbors (like yourself) can get beyond that.

If I had a neighbor that started acting like many on here suggest, I would make it my personal mission to make their life as difficult as you are going out of your way to make mine. Let's see who has the better lawyer and deeper pocket if you want to play that game.

Cheers to you for how you've handled this so far.
Here's to peace between neighbors...where possible.

Have dealt with worse. One day I will tell the tale of the Lorax. A crazy neighbor who thinks removing dead dangerous trees on my property is raping the forest.
