Which is why we need more coverage of people saving themselves and their families from harm, which happens orders of magnitude more often than the other way around. Those stories can be told in emotional ways, too, and not just in “stand and fight” ass-kicking format that the NRA uses too frequently. They’re missing opportunities to show happy thriving families that would have been damaged or worse absent self defense.
